I build backend systems and data infrastructure — REST APIs, pipelines, and quantitative models — with an emphasis on correctness, performance, and maintainability at scale. My proving ground has been real estate markets in West Africa, where I am using that infrastructure to close information gaps that off-the-shelf tools fail to touch: spatial indexing for property search, longitudinal price-tracking pipelines, and portfolio optimization models for institutional allocators.
Projects & Quantitative Research
Real-time market intelligence and yield-tracking platform for the Nigerian property market. Automates scraping of major listing portals weekly to capture longitudinal price trends. Built as a production REST API with PostGIS spatial querying for proximity analysis, Redis caching, JWT authentication, cursor-based pagination, and automated integration tests.
Automated real estate data extraction pipeline harvesting 10,000+ weekly residential listings across West African property portals. Establishes the longitudinal time-series database necessary to analyze price fluctuations and train Automated Valuation Models (AVMs).
Monthly residential market intelligence reports for Lagos, Abuja, and other major cities. An autonomous data pipeline pulls Supabase listings, computes price percentiles per neighbourhood, generates narratives with the Gemini API, and compiles downloadable PDF reports via WeasyPrint.
Portfolio Optimization Engine
Dissertation quantitative project implementing the Markowitz mean-variance optimization model for real estate pension fund assets. Features a FastAPI microservice utilizing SciPy's SLSQP algorithm to dynamically compute optimal asset weights and plot the Efficient Frontier.
